Refund from Pediatric Clinic One Year Later

Surprised, but then again medical billing makes no sense to me, unless it is single-payer. $117. It seems paltry somehow: coffee for a year, one fifth of my semi-annual car insurance payment, not even one week's worth of groceries. It'll probably go to the tot's "fishing camp." Don't laugh: halibut, salmon, clams, mussels and oysters hang out here. That's good eating.

The Spotted Pony is no more, so I shan't be seeing baselle there anymore, alas.

    Bean City is gone too. Frown I did my Sunday long-ish distance constitutional and walked to the Cafe Kopi from Lake City. Very friendly atmosphere! I had a fantastic salad (hanging in there with the paleo diet). Thank you for mentioning it!

    It's odd that housing density is increasing in Lake City, but the coffee shops are disappearing. There's also Cafe Lati on 35th Ave NE by NE 110th. If you like an uphill climb there is Treehouse at 12000-block 15th Ave NE.

    I like Cafe Lati - I even went further afield with the Van Gogh Coffee on 85th and 35th (get off at the Wedgewood Broiler). I have to agree that compared with Greenwood where, frankly, a bit coffee shop contraception should occur, Lake City is thin. Kaffeeklatch, between the 120th and 145th Starbucks is turning into a bit of a juggernaut.

    @baselle Have you been to Cafe Javasti on the other side of 35th Ave NE, just north of NE 85th (opposite the drug store)? That has good coffee, plus loyalty/reward cards.
